Intentional Living Circle - A Seat at the Table: Beyond Self-Rejection

What if growth is not about rejecting your habitual patterns, but learning to relate to them differently? Explore how to work with difficult habits and reactions without either fighting them or letting them run your life.

Description: Many of us approach personal growth by trying to get rid of the parts of ourselves we do not like. When working with the Enneagram, this can look like fighting against our patterns, rejecting our habits, or becoming frustrated with the ways our type keeps showing up in our lives.

But pushing these parts away often creates more inner conflict, not less. The more we battle them or try to suppress them, the more stuck we may find ourselves in cycles of resistance, shame, or reactivity. On the other hand, simply giving these patterns free rein can allow them to quietly take over our lives.

This workshop explores a different approach. Rather than fighting with these parts or letting them run the show, we invite them in. They are acknowledged and included, but no longer in charge. Through a more compassionate relationship with our patterns, we can begin relating to ourselves in a way that creates more freedom and balance.

In this Intentional Living Circle, we will reflect on how these dynamics show up in our own lives and explore practical ways to work with our Enneagram patterns without either rejecting or overidentifying with them.

This Intentional Living Circle event is part of Connecting You with Yourself (CYWY).
