Each of us learns a way to cope with the struggles and conflicts that come with living life as a human being. The Enneagram describes three primary approaches known as the harmonic triads: positive outlook, emotional realism, and competency. Each triad offers a particular way of regulating emotion and navigating challenges when things get difficult.
In this session, we will explore how each triad functions and how the types within it engage with their preferred coping style. We will look at the strengths and challenges of each approach and consider how your own style supports or limits you in daily life. We will also explore how these patterns influence communication and conflict, especially when people use different coping strategies. Through reflection and dialogue, we will examine what happens when our usual way of coping is no longer effective and how awareness can open new choices for responding to life with greater flexibility and understanding.
