What Are You Resisting? (Intentional Living Circle)

What do you tend to push away, avoid, or resist? Using the Enneagram, we’ll explore the patterns behind our resistance and what might become possible when we meet what we resist with greater curiosity and openness.

Description: Each Enneagram type has particular things it tends to resist. Sometimes we resist certain feelings, experiences, ways of being, or aspects of life that feel uncomfortable, threatening, or contrary to the way we believe things should be. When we automatically push something away, we also close ourselves off from what that experience has to offer.

In this Intentional Living Circle, we will explore what each Enneagram type tends to resist and how these patterns show up in our own lives. Rather than trying to overcome or eliminate our resistance, let’s approach it with curiosity and gentleness. What are we resisting? What might be underneath that resistance? See what becomes possible when we stop fighting with the experience and allow ourselves to meet it more fully.

Through reflection and discussion, you will have an opportunity to recognize your own patterns of resistance and explore new ways of working with them. By making more space for what we habitually push away, we can create greater openness and freedom in moving through life.
